“We can’t say enough great things about Angie! She has been absolutely amazing with our dog Bailey and with us as owners. Her calm, confident approach made a huge difference right from the start. Angie takes the time to really understand your dog’s needs and tailors the training accordingly.

Not only is she knowledgeable, but she’s also incredibly patient, supportive, and clearly passionate about what she does. Bailey loves her, and so do we!

Highly recommend Angie to anyone looking for a trainer who truly cares and gets results. Thank you, Angie!”

“Angie is SO amazing! I have been working with Angie online since my pup, Toby, was about 5 months old. I am so grateful that I started our sessions while Toby was so young. Angie is so knowledgeable and goes out of her way to watch and respond to videos of Toby’s training. I really like this method as it allows me time to practice things with Toby and get feedback. Angie has also taught me so much about all the puppy stages and the correct way to respond as Toby’s is growing and learning. I also love talking to Angie about dog nutrition. I would highly Angie to anyone looking to train their puppy or adult dog. So grateful Toby and I found her.”

“Angie is extremely knowledgeable about all things dog related! She has been an incredible help with my two Pomeranian girls, shown me patience and empathy when needed, helped me with crate training, leash training, aggression training, nutrition training and grooming. She is understanding, compassionate and really takes the time to explain things to you in a way that is kind and not judgemental. I fully recommend her to anyone needing guidance with their dogs.”

  • Michelle S.

“I met Angie in September 2022. My 1-year-old Rottweiler was difficult to walk. She was on leash reactive and would lunge at dogs. I cried at my first two sessions with Angie as this was a huge issue affecting my personal life and relationship and I was relieved to be receiving help. Since my personal training sessions with Angie, I have learned so much and I am now able to walk my dog on busy routes. Angie taught me valuable skills to help me handle my dog on lash and she taught me the importance of self-confidence. Angie is so supportive, I would even send her videos of my walks and she would provide feedback. I now participate in group walks to continue practicing my leash handling and confidence. I would highly recommend Angie as she is very kind and respectful to everyone’s unique situation with their dog.”

She keeps it simple and uncomplicated. Extremely high recommend!”

“My dog has severe anxiety. We went to Royal K9 to get some help with this issue. Angie was great! She taught us lots of things to try to help Scarlette overcome some of her fears.

As this is Scarlette’s personality it cannot be totally corrected, but we did see a huge improvement. Angie was very blunt and honest, which was what we needed, yet professional. Thanks Angie“

FAQ

A woman smiling and hugging two Rottweiler dogs outdoors with grass, rocks, and trees in the background.
  • In my 25 years as a dog trainer, and as someone who has owned, bred, and lived with multiple dogs (up to 12 at one time), I’ve seen it all: the good, the bad, and the downright challenging.

From jumping, stealing food, barking, digging, pulling on leash, nipping, and biting, to serious issues like aggression (toward humans or other dogs), fear-based behaviours, multi-dog dynamics, not listening, and full-on dog fights, I’ve worked through it all.

  • While we don’t promise overnight transformations or time-based guarantees, many clients notice positive changes early on. Often calmer behaviour, improved listening, and a noticeable decrease in daily chaos once structured leadership is implemented.

The real value? You’re the one doing the training, at home, at your pace, and guided by professional coaching that empowers you every step of the way.

  • Dog training isn’t just about fixing problems. It’s about building knowledge, confidence, and a solid foundation for a lifetime together. From puppy stages to adulthood, a trainer can help you understand health and nutrition, grooming and handling, proper socialization, vaccination choices, spay/neuter timing, dog sports, and even when it’s time to call the vet.

Having a trusted expert by your side means you don’t have to guess. You have support for every stage of your dog’s life.

  • Because it’s you I’m training. Virtual sessions are focused on educating and coaching you, helping you understand your dog’s behaviour, why it’s happening, and how to teach or change it effectively. You’ll learn step-by-step methods, receive feedback, and get ongoing support to reach your goals.

Even in-person training relies on the same principle: you do the work at home. Virtual coaching gives you the knowledge and confidence to apply the training in your real-life environment, where it matters most.

  • At Royal K9, once you’ve built a solid foundation through private sessions, there are several other ways to continue your training:

    • Group Walks - Practice leash skills, calm behaviour, and real-life exposure once you have control.

    • Distraction Classes - Build on obedience around other dogs, people, and real-world scenarios.

    • Puppy Kindergarten - Early socializing, manners, confidence building, and foundational skills.

    • Conformation Handling Classes - For those interested in showing their dogs and ring etiquette.

    • Educational Workshops - Hands-on learning for dog owners and group events focused on safety, understanding behaviour, and living successfully with dogs.

Each option is designed to meet you where you are and help you keep moving forward.
