Royal K9 is committed to providing a professional, safe, and supportive environment for both dogs and their owners. These policies ensure fairness, clarity, and consistency for all clients. By booking an evaluation, session, class, or workshop, you agree to the following terms.

Safety & Training Expectations

Royal K9 prioritizes the safety of all dogs, owners, and participants.

By attending training, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour at all times.

  • Dogs must arrive leashed unless instructed otherwise.

  • Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age and health.

  • Any history of aggression, reactivity, or behavioural concerns must be disclosed before training begins.

  • Angie may recommend tools, equipment, or training approaches to ensure safety and progress.

Failure to disclose behavioural concerns may result in removal from a class or session with no refund.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any appointment.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your appointment will result in the loss of that session or credit.

  • Sessions missed without notice are treated as no-shows and are forfeited.

  • Timeliness matters: arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened session for fairness to following clients.

This policy allows time slots to remain available so all clients have equal opportunity to book training sessions.

Liability

By participating in Royal K9 training services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Dog training involves inherent risks.

  • You assume full responsibility for any injury or damage caused by your dog.

  • Royal K9 and its trainers are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses resulting from your dog’s behaviour during or after training.

Training relies on owner consistency; results cannot be guaranteed.

Payment Policy

Accepted payment methods include:

  • E-transfer

  • Credit card

Payment must be completed before scheduling any training.

Refunds

All purchases are final.

There are no refunds on evaluations, private sessions, group classes, workshops, or training packages once purchased.

  • Packages are considered active once the first session begins.

  • Refunds are not offered for partial use, missed sessions, or changes in scheduling availability.

Group Class Policies

To protect all clients:

  • Dogs showing illness, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, or suspected kennel cough must stay home.

  • Female dogs in heat may not attend group classes.

  • Reactive or aggressive dogs may require private training before joining group classes.

  • Angie reserves the right to remove any dog from a group class for safety reasons.

Class size & structure:

  • Space is limited to maintain a controlled environment.

  • Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to future sessions.

Privacy Policy

Royal K9 collects only the information necessary to provide training services.

This information is never sold or shared and is used solely for scheduling, training, and communication purposes.

Royal K9 uses standard website analytics to improve user experience.

Clients may request deletion of their information at any time.

Communication

Please contact Angie directly via text or email for scheduling changes or updates.

Mutual respect for time ensures smoother sessions and consistent training results.

Package Expiry

Private training packages do not have a set expiry date.

To maintain clarity and fairness:

  • If there has been no contact for six (6) consecutive months, you will receive a check-in email.

  • If there is no reply within two (2) weeks, any remaining sessions or credits will be considered expired and forfeited.

Workshop Policies

Workshop fees are non-refundable due to limited spots and preparation requirements.

  • Working spots are limited and cannot be swapped without approval.

  • Dogs must be comfortable working around others or may be asked to observe from a designated space for safety.

Weather Policy

Outdoor sessions or walks may be rescheduled due to:

  • Extreme heat or cold

  • Thunderstorms

  • Unsafe road or trail conditions

Angie will notify clients as early as possible.

Media Release

Photos or videos taken during training may be used for educational or promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
